Over 30 killed in 6.8-magnitude quake in Sichuan

The earthquake triggered a national emergency response of Level Ⅳ, according to the Ministry of Emergency Management.

China has a four-tier emergency response system, with Level-I representing the most severe response.

The ministry has dispatched a team headed by Min Yiren, head of China Earthquake Administration, to guide the disaster relief work in Luding, said a press release from the ministry.
