7.6-magnitude earthquake hits Papua New Guinea

BEIJING -- A 7.6-magnitude earthquake hit Papua New Guinea at 7:46 am Sunday, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).

The epicenter was monitored at 6.30 degrees south latitude and 146.55 degrees east longitude, with a depth of 70 km, the CENC said.
