Panda cubs meet public at SW China breeding base

Thirteen giant panda cubs that were born this year make their first group public appearance on Wednesday at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding in Sichuan province. The event was held to mark the 73rd anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and the upcoming World Team Table Tennis Championships in Chengdu. The base has successfully bred 15 panda cubs this year, including four pairs of twins. HE HAIYANG/FOR CHINA DAILY
