Large volcano in Hawaii erupts for first time since 1984

Mauna Loa in Hawaii, the world's largest active volcano, began erupting on Sunday evening, the US Geological Survey said. Lava flows are not threatening any downslope communities or having a significant impact on the local tourism industry, but some areas could accumulate ash, the statement said.
