Art is a form of communication and painting making it an important way to record and illustrate events over time. Artists in China have used different methods to show their appreciation for workers on the front line of the fight against COVID-19.

In September, China Daily's Times' Palette Studio signed a memorandum of understanding with the China Academy of Art, the Sichuan Fine Arts Institute, the Xi'an Academy of Fine Arts, the Luxun Academy of Fine Arts, the Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts and the Hubei Institute of Fine Arts to jointly build a platform to introduce Chinese artworks to a wider audience.

Presenting work from the six academies and institutes, this page demonstrates the help frontline workers provided in saving lives and controlling the spread of the virus.
