The China-Central and Eastern European (CEE) Youth Development Forum, hosted by the All-China Youth Federation and organized by the China International Youth Exchange Center, was held in Beijing on Mar 27 to address global youth development issues.

Focusing on "Gathering Innovative Power and Promoting Youth Development Together," the forum has invited youth representatives from China and Central and Eastern European countries to participate both online and offline.

He Junke, the first secretary of the Secretariat of the Communist Youth League Central Committee, delivered a speech urging nations to prioritize youth development.

He highlighted the deep historical ties and complementary development advantages between China and CEE countries, which make them long-term friendly partners. He emphasized the crucial role of young people in addressing global challenges and promoting peace and development.

Gabriel Georgiev Valkov, chairman of the Bulgarian Socialist Party Youth League, underscored the importance of international cooperation for youth development and constructing a better future.

Adam Samu-Balazs, secretary of the International Department of Hungary's ruling Fidesz Party's Youth League, noted the resumption of direct flights between Budapest and Beijing to boost tourism and trade.

Youth organization leaders from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Hungary, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Serbia and Slovakia praised China's achievements in promoting youth participation, safeguarding their rights and interests, and facilitating international youth exchanges during the forum. Over the next week, youth representatives will explore various cities to gain insights into the digital economy, as well as Chinese history and culture.

Started in 2017, the China-CEE Youth Development Forum has successfully organized six sessions, welcoming over 400 young participants from Central and Eastern European countries. The forum has played a significant role in fostering China-CEE youth partnerships and enhancing international collaboration in youth development.
