Of about 3,600 people arrested since June 30 during the riots, more than 1,100 are minors, the justice ministry said on Tuesday.

Nahel's funeral was held on July 1 with hundreds of people attending the service to pay their respects. He was buried at the Mont-Valerien cemetery in Nanterre. The police officer who fatally shot him was charged with culpable homicide and jailed on June 29.
