Smart China Expo opens in Chongqing

The Smart China Expo 2023 kicked off in Chongqing on Monday, highlighting intelligent connected new energy vehicles and digital China.

Themed "Pooling together wisdom and strength", the expo, which is scheduled to run until Wednesday, has attracted more than 500 enterprises, more that 200 of which have an exhibition stand.

This year's expo highlights domains such as intelligent connected NEV, intelligent manufacturing and equipment, new-generation information technologies and smart transportation, the organizing committee said.

During the three-day event,19 forums and five events will be held. Eleven achievements in related industries will be announced. Cutting-edge innovative products, technological systems and the latest solutions in 27 subsectors such as batteries, key basic components and artificial intelligence will be showcased.

The expo was organized by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Cyberspace Administration of China, the China Association for Science and Technology, the Singapore Ministry of Trade and Industry and the Chongqing government.

The event has been successfully held five times since the first one in 2018.
