World's top 10 most valuable private energy companies

With a value of 5.7 trillion yuan ($781.21 billion), Tesla takes the crown as the most valuable private energy company in the world, according to a ranking released by the Hurun Research Institute.

ExxonMobil, which was valued at 3.3 trillion yuan, came in second place, followed by Chevron (2.2 trillion yuan) and Shell (1.5 trillion yuan).

Chinese power battery giant Contemporary Amperex Technology Co Ltd is the only Chinese company to enter the global top 10 ranking. With a value of 1.04 trillion yuan, CATL ranked eighth.
