"Whenever I have the chance, I would go for a walk along the Huangpu River. There, the sun is reflected on the waters, creating a serene blue light that envelops everything for miles around. When night falls, the skyscrapers light up and twinkle like dancing stars, doubling their radiance in the mirror-like calm waters of the river," said the Italian artist. "In my poster, I've tried to capture this essence of Shanghai -- the city that shines day and night."

Japanese designer Yoshiaki Osada said he was most attracted by Chinese characters. While reviewing literatures about Shanghai history and culture, he came across an idiom that answered his question about why Shanghai is so beautiful and tolerant. His two works feature the Chinese characters from the idiom hai na bai chuan, which literally means "the sea receives hundreds of rivers".

The exhibition will run until Jan 5.
