Chinese economy continues high-quality development in 2024

The country has increased new gains in people's livelihood in solving problems and making up for weaknesses to benefit the people.

China's urban and rural residents' income grew steadily in 2023, with per capita disposable income increasing by 6.1 percent in real terms, and investment in people's livelihood continues to increase.

"Effectively ensuring and improving people's livelihood" is listed as one of the key tasks of economic work in 2024.
