Internal combustion engine conference kicks off in Tianjin
Jin Donghan, president of both the 2024 World Congress on Internal Combustion Engines and Tianjin University, said: "In the domains of transportation, engineering machinery, and long-distance shipping, internal combustion engines remain the primary driving force, holding significant potential to advance energy conservation and carbon reduction. Through this congress, our aim is to actively explore pathways to achieve 'carbon neutrality' in internal combustion engine technology, thereby contributing to the global industry's progress and enhancing societal well-being."
Rick Boom, president of the International Council on Combustion Engines, urged the global combustion engine industry to take collective actions, emphasizing that "the congress will build a comprehensive platform that promotes collaborative innovation and facilitates the harmonious development for the industry".
Tianjin University, having established China's first national key laboratory in the field of internal combustion engines, has achieved a series of groundbreaking milestones over the past 30 years, securing 18 national-level scientific and technological awards.
