There is a boardwalk where people can get closer to the water. It winds its way into the lake, providing a different landscape with each step.
As sunset takes place at nearly 7 pm in Shanghai in summer, the sky exhibits its magic starting at about 6:30 pm. Like a shy painter, the setting sun dyes the sky and the lake into gentle orange and pink.
