China stocks close higher Friday

BEIJING -- Chinese stocks ended higher on Friday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 13.47 points, or 0.64 percent, to close at 2,123.85.

The Shenzhen Component Index rose 49.05 points, or 0.56 percent, to close at 8,740.05.
