Air China Ltd is to become the first airline globally equipped with GX Aviation for high-speed inflight WiFi.

Honeywell Aerospace announced it has signed a memorandum of understanding with Air China to begin testing GX Ka-band connectivity on the carrier's A330 aircraft, with testing is expected to start in the second quarter of 2015.

GX Aviation is a global high-speed inflight connectivity service providing aircraft with data rates of up to 50 Mbps. With GX Aviation, passengers can expect a 60 percent improvement in download speed for their inflight connectivity, compared with current solutions on the market.
