A 6-year-old boy was almost killed using a big washbasin as a boat to cross a river in Tianjin Municipality.

Seeing ferries cross the river on Monday, the boy thought he could use the washbasin to travel to the opposite bank.

To his surprise, the homemade "boat" overturned and threw him into the river. Fortunately, he was rescued by people on a nearby ferry.
