A group of special patients in Hangzhou who suspect that they have been infected with AIDS live in a state of constant fear.

The number of people suffering from the AIDS panic in Hangzhou has hit about 200, much more than the number of AIDS patients in the city, with 90 per cent of them being young men who have experienced high risk sexual activity.

They cannot help shaking when hearing the word "AIDS."

The men frequently visit hospitals, asking for HIV checks. Although the results are negative, they never believe them and demand further checks.

Doctors from local hospitals said that the patients were suffering from a mental disorder and needed psychological treatment.
