US official to travel to China for talks

A senior U.S. official was to travel to China this week to discuss U.S.-Chinese cooperation on clean energy, public health, fighting human trafficking and other issues, the State Department said Tuesday.

Undersecretary of State Paula Dobriansky was to meet with Vice Foreign Minister Cui Tiankai on Wednesday and Thursday, the State Department said.

Officials also planned to discuss environmental conservation and ways to increase international development and aid.
