Alert pooch averts burglary blaze

No one was injured by a fire that broke out inside a building in Shenyang of Liaoning Province in the small hours of this Monday, thanks to a smart dog.

The dog woke its master, surnamed Mi, by barking at him soon after a burglary set the fire on a pile of waste paper inside the building, which contained more than 40 families.

Mi then woke up his neighbours, who had all been sleeping, and the fire was soon put out.
