Granny Li, 79, held her own funeral rehearsal in Dianjiang, Southwest China's Chongqing Municipality, and had her children practice what they would need to do for the real thing, starting from learning how to cry, according to the Chongqing Business Herald News Tuesday.

Li got the inspiration half a year ago at her sister's funeral. "None of my sister's children knew how to cry loudly and tears are not enough to pay the tribute," Li said.

She brought two cassette tapes of people crying back from the funeral and asked her children to practice every ten days.

"We can't talk her out of it, and you can't blame her for these worries at her age," Li's son said.

"We can't do anything because it's none of our business," Li's neighbor Liu Qulan told the reporter in a telephone interview.

A member of the local villagers committee expressed concern over Li's mental health and he said he would try to cheer her up.
