A man who used his motorcycle to transport a pig was killed after being knocked down and pinned by the pig in the wake of his motorcycle turning over to a ditch in Maoming, a city in western Guangdong, over the weekend.

But the pig, which was put into an iron cage, was still alive when police arrived on the scene after the accident was reported.

The accident took place in a local highway roadside at about 8 pm. The man, in his 30s, had died by the time police moved away the pig, which weighed more than 150 kilograms.

Police said the man has yet to be identified. The excessive load and speedy driving were determined to have caused the accident.
