Man to sue hospital over invasion of privacy

A patient plans to sue his local hospital over an invasion of privacy in which a female patient watched as he had stitches removed from his penis in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, on Monday.

The man, Li, had to receive medical treatment after being injured playing sport a week ago.

He went to the hospital to have the stitches removed on Monday morning, but realized a woman was watching and laughing as they were being taken out.

Doctors asked the woman to leave the room only after Li complained.

Li said he felt awkward about the incident and that the hospital had failed to protect his privacy. He asked the hospital to apologize and pay compensation.
