A giraffe that had been nursed by zoo keepers at the Guangzhou Zoo has grown to more than 260 centimeters tall, defying many experts.

It was 160 centimeters tall when it was born 9 months ago.

The giraffe, which is in good health, was the first one to be raised by zoo keepers in the country. The keepers have been feeding it sheep's milk.

According to local zoologists, grass-eating animals generally live no longer than 3 three months if they are fed artificially.
