WUHAN: About 200 fire-fighters succeeded in putting out a blaze in a mixed commercial-residential building in downtown Wuhan, capital of central China's Hubei Province Friday.

The fire occurred in the second to sixth storeys of the 23-storey Qiaofang building, a fire-fighter said.

No casualties were reported.

The fire was reported at about 10 a.m. and was under control by 2:30 p.m., he said.

The first storey was occupied by shops and the second to sixth storeys were storage areas, with apartments from the seventh floor up.
