Seven killed in car accident in east China

HEFEI: Seven people were killed as their car fell into a roadside river Thursday in Anhui Province, local police said Friday.

A 5-seat sedan carrying three men and four women suddenly veered off a road in Fuyang City and rushed into the river at about 3:50 pm Thursday, traffic police of Fuyang said.

The seven were found dead at the site.

Police ruled out drink driving after alcohol test on the driver.

Police were investigating the cause of the accident.
