Chinese VP arrives in Melbourne for official visit

MELBOURNE - Chinese Vice President Xi Jinping arrived in Melbourne Saturday afternoon, kicking off his five-day official visit to Australia.
He is scheduled to hold talks with Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd in Canberra next Monday to exchange views on bilateral relations and other issues of common concern.
Australia is the last leg of Xi's four-nation trip, which has already taken him to Bangladesh, Laos and New Zealand.
