21 fire survivors discharged from hospital in Jilin

JILIN, Jilin - Twenty-one survivors of Friday morning's shopping mall fire in Northeast China's Jilin city had been discharged from hospital as of 5:00 pm Monday, local health authorities said.

The fire killed 19 and injured 27 others, 24 of whom were hospitalized. Three injured were still hospitalized but were in stable condition.

The fire ravaged the fourth floor of the five-storey mall.

It took firefighters 10 hours to extinguish the flames.
