Companies and volunteers have donated necessities to Tianjin's Sun Village, a charity that shelters children of convicts, after the village suffered losses caused by theft, Metro Express reported on Wednesday.

The report said a large number of companies and individuals have donated things to the Sun Village, helping it recover from the theft. The Lao Bai Xing Drugstores and China Resources Sanjiu Medical & Pharmaceutical Co Ltd have given a variety of supplies to the charity center, including a washing machine, a water heater, food, medicinal kits and thirty hand-held heaters.

Wang Aili, the founder of the shelter, said among the things stolen were recently harvested corn and children's cookies.
