The Tianjin Binhai New Area will help farmers increase their incomes by developing the leisure agricultural sector, the area's agricultural bureau said.

The new area will build nine agricultural sightseeing and entertainment tour packages, in an attempt to lure 1 million tourists in 2013, Bohai Morning Post reported.

The new area is one of the country's major production bases of Muscat grape, winter dates and aquatic products. It also boasts 154 kilometers of coast and a number of fishing villages, some with 600 years of history. All of which are great tourism resources, the report said.
