Two fires were reported within two hours by Shanghai University at two of its campuses on early Thursday. No injuries were sustained.
At around 1 am on Thursday, an unused three-story building, once used as an administration office, at the university's Yanchang campus in Zhabei district caught fire. The blaze reportedly razed the entire building before it was put out by firefighters by 4 am.
At around 3 am, a student dormitory at the university's Baoshan campus caught fire. Two students in the dormitory were rescued and no casualties were reported, according to local Chinese media.
The city's fire authorities said they are investigating the two fires but would not provide any further details into the incidents.
