A 3-year-old girl in Zhuhai, Guangdong province, was injured when hit by a syringe containing a muscle relaxant, Southern Metropolis Daily reported on Tuesday.
According to a police announcement, the incident occurred at about 9:30 pm on June 29 when the girl was on an electric motorcycle with her parents on their way home and the syringe was thrown at them like a dart. The syringe was found to contain the muscle relaxant succinylcholine, which can cause anaphylactic shock and death. The girl was quickly taken to a local hospital and is in stable condition after emergency treatment.
Police are investigating the case.
