A woman in Beijing was awarded compensation of 20,000 yuan ($3,220) on Wednesday after the company she worked for illegally dismissed her, Beijing Times reported on Thursday.

The woman, surnamed Li, was depressed because of family troubles and complained about that on her mobile phone chat account on June 4, 2013. Her boss, surnamed Tang, mistakenly thought Li was writing about her work when he read the complaint and dismissed her on June 6.

Li filed a labor arbitration application asking the company to pay her compensation and lost wages. The labor arbitration authority ruled the company should pay Li 20,000 yuan.

The company refused to accept the adjudication and brought a lawsuit against Li and the labor arbitration institute with a local court, which also ruled that the company should pay the compensation.
