Adili Maimaititure, president of an e-commerce company in Changsha, Hunan province, said he simply wanted to help those affected by the quake.

In the past, Adili organized charity sales to help family members of victims in the recent terrorist attacks in Shache county, Kashgar prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region.

“In the charity sales, we received support from people of the Han ethnic group and Uygurs. After the quake in Yunnan province, we want to help people there,” Adili wrote on Sina Weibo, China’s popular microblogging site.
