The pre-school department has around 80 students and seven teaching staff. Most people in the school are of the Tibetan ethnicity. The gradual renovation and expansion of the Sichuan-Tibet Highway's South Line that passes through the village has enabled children living far from the boarding school to commune to the school to receive education. The classes at the boarding school start every Monday. Students can go home on Saturday afternoons and take the weekends off. [Photo by Gao Yu/ Provided to chinadaily.com.cn]
