The organization of the seminar is the China International Center for Economica and Technical Exchanges(CICETE).

Entrusted by the Chinese Government, CICETE is responsible for executing and managing UNDP and UNIDO assisted projects in China.

For years, UNDP and CiCETE have been placing much focus on social and economic development in Tibet, and thave carried out a series of activities in areas such as energy, environmental protection, ecucation, tourism, poverty alleviation, agriculture and animal husbandry, community development and development of traditional handicrafts within the framework of development strategies of the Tibetan government.

In the future, UNDP and CICETE will begin to help the Tibetan Government to formulate a tourism master plan for next ten years.
