Supervision keeps prosecutors honest

Fewer prosecutors are breaking the law as a result of improvements to the supervision and inspection system, top prosecutor Jia Chunwang said.

Data suggests there were 3,902 instances of prosecutors breaking the law or other regulations last year, compared with 5,651 such cases in 2003.

Meanwhile, the number of investigations launched against prosecutors fell to 273 from 424 during the period. There were 76 launched in the first eight months of this year.
