BEIJING - China's experience in the evacuation of its nationals from Libya, which ended over the weekend, proved Beijing has the financial and technological capabilities to handle such emergencies, officials said.

By March 5, a total of 35,860 Chinese people had been evacuated from Libya in 12 days.

Beijing dispatched 91 civil flights, 12 military flights, five cargo ships and one frigate, and chartered 35 flights, 11 cruise ships and more than 100 buses from other countries to bring its citizens back to safety.
