13 detained over deadly attack

Police have detained 13 people for allegedly attacking students of a middle school with knives in Ankang on Tuesday, Xinhua News Agency reported on Friday. One student was killed and two were injured in the attack, according to the report. The incident occurred at 5:10 pm on Tuesday when the students were on their way home. A police investigation found that the attackers had a quarrel with one student of the school and assaulted the other students by mistake.
