Strong earthquake strikes Yunnan province: CENC

A 6.6-magnitude earthquake struck Yunnan province on Tuesday, the China Earthquake Networks Center reported, but there were no immediate reports of casualties.

The CENC said the quake's epicenter was 163 km north-northwest of Yunjinghong and 10 km deep.

Shaking could be felt in Kunming, the provincial capital of Yunnan, as well as several other major cities in the province, according to Xinhua News Agency.
