When Zhou Yaqiong first came across the term "online opinion analysis", she immediately thought it had something to do with Internet censorship.

But in July, the postgraduate student at Jinan University in Guangdong province discovered that was far from the truth.

Zhou, 24, headed to Beijing to take part in a weeklong training program to earn a certificate that qualifies her as an online public opinion analyst.
