Jiangyin to offer one-stop service for overseas investors

Jiangyin in East China's Jiangsu Province will open a new service center in October to provide one-stop services for overseas investors by combining the functions of related departments and organizations.

The Jiangyin Foreign Investment Service Center will include offices of all functional units involved in the process of dealing with foreign investments, such as banks and taxation bureaus.

The center's main task will be to help the Jiangyin Economic Development Zone attract overseas capital. Established in 1991, the 150-square-kilometer zone focuses on energy, steel and petrochemical industries.

Jiangyin has set up a liaison agency to assist overseas clients start business in the zone. The agency helps foreign enterprises prepare project materials for evaluation and approval, apply for business licenses, etc. All services are provided free of charge.

Customs, the Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau and Yangtze River Pilot Center have already set up offices in the zone.
