Blue-, white-collar workers earn same

Many blue-collar workers in Shanghai are earning salaries comparable to those
of their white-collar counterparts, reports Shanghai Morning Post.
According to a survey by the Shanghai Labour Social Security Association,
some product managers and technicians command monthly incomes of 10,000
(US$1,208) to 15,000 yuan (US$1,807), the same as more educated professionals.
Insiders say the trend reflects the increasing demand for high-tech workers
and salespeople.
