An elderly couple caught their son in the act of stealing a bike in Liuzhou, Guangxi and turned him in to police on Tuesday, reports Nanguo Morning Post.

After the boy, A Xi, ran away from home last Sunday, his worried parents searched all the area Internet cafes and discos to no avail.

Then at about 6 am on Tuesday, after the exhausted couple had spent the entire night looking for him, they spotted two young men stealing a bike in front of a restaurant.

They caught the pair only to realize that one of them was their own son. The angry father immediately called police. The boy was released into his parents' custody as he was under the age of 14.
