82% of applicants get into college ( 2003-08-20 10:52) (China Daily)
Eighty-two per cent of the Guangdong applicants who sat this year's National
College Entrance Exams have successfully gained entrance to colleges and
universities, reports Guangzhou Daily.
College recruitment wrapped up in Guangdong this week, said officials in
charge of signing up students.
A total of 25,414 examinees who met the minimum admission score of 415 failed
to find a suitable place to study.
The number of complaints about college applications dropped by one-third
compared with last year, which recruiters attribute to improved information
distribution.
