Missing teenager brought back home
( 2003-08-21 14:07) (China Daily)

A 15-year-old girl who left home to be with a man she met online has been reunited with her family with help from police, reports Daily Sunshine.

The girl, Huang, was reported missing on August 10 by her father, a Taiwan businessman living in Shenzhen.

She did not return home after school and her cellphone was turned off, the father said.

An investigation led police to Huang's online friend "A Feng", who was the last person to have contact with the girl before her disappearance.

The jobless man from Heilongjiang Province had also disappeared from his rented flat, but police managed to have a friend of his get in touch with him.

The friend asked A Feng to meet him at a hotel, where a teenaged girl matching Huang's description was seen, on August 14.

Though she refused to admit she was Huang, she responded to her name when a policeman called out to her.

She was taken home by her father, who was waiting outside in a car.
