The municipal traffic police have refuted reports that illegally parked luxury cars would no longer be towed, reports Beijing Daily.

A media report on Wednesday said traffic police planned to institute new measures in dealing with violations, and expensive cars, such as BMWs, would not be towed for parking illegally, for fear of damaging them.

But the municipal traffic management bureau told Beijing Daily this was not true, stressing that all vehicles violating traffic rules would be treated equally.
