A man addicted to the sound his lighter made when he scratched it over the surfaces of cars was arrested in Shenyang on Tuesday for vandalism, reports Shenyang Today.

A hotel in the Huanggu District began receiving complaints from many luxury car owners who parked there that the paint on their vehicles had been scratched.

Security guards finally caught Li Liang on Tuesday just after he left a long scar down the side of a Toyota.

Li later told police that he used to work for the hotel.

After losing his job, he often returned and hung around the parking garage.

One day when he happened to drag his lighter along the surface of a car, he found he loved the sound so much that he couldn't stop himself from doing it thereafter.
