Man foresees his fate on Internet
( 2003-08-27 14:37) (China Daily)

The major suspect in an attack on several police officers at a nightclub in Beijing happened to be reading an online news account of the incident when law enforcement authorities arrested him at an Internet cafe in Sichuan Province on August 16, reports Beijing Star Daily.

Wang Hui, manager of Lotus Nightclub, allegedly led more than 20 people to attack four police officers during a surprise inspection of the club suspected of dealing in the sex trade and staging striptease performances earlier this month.

Wang escaped and had been on the run in Hebei, Shaanxi and Sichuan provinces until he was located in Wangcang County in Sichuan.

Knowing Wang to be an avid Web surfer, Beijing police searched all of the Internet cafes in town and finally caught him as he read a page reporting the Lotus Nightclub event.
