Boyfriend to share abortion expenses

A man has been ordered to pay part of the expenses of his former girlfriend's
abortion, reports Guangzhou Daily.
The man, identified as Ah Wen, had lived with the woman, identified as
Xiaowei, for three years before she became pregnant.
Ah Wen refused to admit that the foetus was his and stopped seeing her
afterwards, said Xiaowei. She filed a lawsuit against him after having an
abortion.
The Luohu District People's Court ruled in her favour after DNA tests
confirmed that Ah Wen was the father. He has been ordered to pay half of the
hospital bills, the woman's loss of salary and expenses for hiring domestic help
while she recovered.
