Fake goods face triple threat

Shanghai and neighbouring Zhejiang and Jiangsu provinces at the tip of the
Yangtze River Delta have joined efforts to crack down on fake and inferior
commodities, reports Shanghai Evening Post.
More than 40 directors of the quality inspection and guarantee bureaux of
cities in the three prefectures gathered in Shanghai to make a common
declaration on Sunday.
The participants vowed to establish a mechanism to rectify malpractice.
A common network will be set up in each of the three provinces to receive
consumer complaints and lawsuits, as well as ensure the speedy transfer of
cases.
A reporting system will also be put in place to supervise the practices of
producers, suppliers and sellers throughout the region.
